Storesand Teltplass

Storesand is a large and continuous area of ​​nature and outdoor activities designed for swimming, hiking, playing and experiencing nature in the middle of Ytre Hvaler National Park.

There are sand volleyball courts, a climbing wall and dedicated barbecue areas. The area includes Vadholmtangen East, Herreskjær, Paradisbukta, Sjursholmen and Døvika. The coastal path runs through the entire area, and along the path you will discover many of the interesting "Whale Tufts" - remains of presumed settlements from the Iron Age. You can walk along the coastal path to Skjærhalden to the east or to Rødshue and the sculpture park, and then on to Grønne bakke.

Near Storesand Teltplass there are several great hiking and outdoor areas, including Ytre Hvaler National Park and the Coastal Path that runs through the area. There are also sand volleyball courts, a climbing wall and barbecue areas available at the tent site itself. You can also explore the surrounding areas, such as Vadholmtangen øst, Herreskjær, Paradisbukta, Sjursholmen and Døvika, or take a trip to Skjærhalden to the east, Rødshue and the sculpture park, and further to Grønne bakke.

The Outdoor Activities Act applies from October 6th until Easter.
