Stromberg Camping

Tucked away in the quiet, green heart of the Stromberg Nature Park, Stromberg Camping invites you to unwind in a peaceful world of vineyards, forests, and gently rolling hills. Spread over more than 8 hectares, the campsite has around 580 pitches, offering a mix of grassy plots, paved spots for motorhomes, and even cozy camping barrels (“Campingfass”) for a different kind of stay.

The site is very family-friendly and thoughtfully equipped: you'll find clean, modern sanitary facilities, accessible toilets, and a dedicated waste-disposal point for motorhomes. Power is available at many pitches, too. One of the stand-out features is the open-air swimming pool, lovingly restored in 2004 — perfect for cooling off on warm days.

When hunger strikes, the Campers Kitchen is ready to serve up warm, comforting fare from Friday to Sunday evenings. Think burgers, pizza, flammkuchen, schnitzel…and even refreshing cocktails in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Staying connected isn’t a problem: there’s a guest Wi-Fi network, so you can upload your photos of nature walks or look up nearby attractions. And if you're an early riser, you can order fresh bread rolls via an app so you wake up to a delicious breakfast.

Surrounded by the sweeping hills of the Kraichgau-Stromberg region, the campsite is a gateway to a countryside rich in natural beauty and cultural charm. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling — trails wind through vineyards and forest paths, offering peaceful views over the Metter, Zaber, and Enz valleys.

Nature lovers will enjoy exploring nearby reserves such as the Diefenbacher Mettenberg, a tranquil protected area perfect for birdwatching and quiet walks. The scenic village of Diefenbach, perched on the ridge of the Stromberg, adds local character to your stay.

For a fun day trip, the Tripsdrill Adventure Park (with wildlife park and amusement rides) is within reach — great for families or anyone looking for a dose of excitement. If you prefer wine and local delicacies, the region’s vineyards and seasonal markets invite you to taste the regional wine and farm-fresh products.

And if you feel like a change of pace, cities like Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Stuttgart, and Pforzheim are all accessible for day excursions — giving you a perfect mix of nature and urban sightseeing.

• Arrival & Departure: You can arrive between 12:00–13:00 or 14:00–20:00, and check-out is by 12:00.
• Barrier Access: The main gate opens at 07:00, is closed daily from 13:00–14:00, and closes at 22:00 for the night.
• Reception Times:
  • In summer (mid-June to mid-September), the reception is open from 08:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00.
  • During the rest of the year, it’s open 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–16:00.
• Grilling Rules: You can’t have open fires or use charcoal grills, but gas grills are allowed — perfect for a clean, safe BBQ.
• Electric Cars: You’re not allowed to charge your EV on the pitches — please use nearby public charging points.
• Child-Friendly Programs: In the summer, there’s a lively children’s and family program led by a church group, with crafts, music, and outdoor fun.
