On Hvaler you will find the island of Søndre Sandøy, which is the largest of the islands that is almost completely free of cars. Although there are some cars at the harbor, it is still an excellent place to cycle. By taking your bike with you on the ferry from Skjærhalden, you can experience an island where time seems to have moved a little slower.

Among lush fields and beautiful forests you will find impressive white wooden houses, a diverse wildlife and beautiful beaches. Stuevika is the most amazing of all the beaches.

It is approximately 1.5 km to cycle to the car-free camping site. During the period from September 1 to April 30, the Outdoor Activities Act applies, and camping sites cannot be booked in advance.
