Sundbyholm Travbana
635 08 Eskilstuna
Sundbyholm Racecourse, located just outside Eskilstuna and only a few hundred metres from the shores of Lake Mälaren, is one of Sweden's most well-equipped and lively trotting facilities - and now also a popular stop for motorhomes and caravans. There are plenty of pitches here, both with and without electricity, which can be booked easily via Campcation. Whether you're here for the excitement of the race or just looking for a quiet campsite in Sundbyholm, this is a great place to settle down.
On site you'll find two restaurants, a pub, a snack bar, seven racecourses and modern amenities. Free Wi-Fi is available via the banguest network (password: Zoogin12). On race days, the arena is filled with hustle and bustle, but on other days it has a quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing close to nature.
Sundbyholmstravet is also a conference and event arena, where you can book full evenings with a stable guide, dinner and trotting experiences. If you're curious about the world of trotting, helpful betting hosts are on hand to show you how it works to read trotting programmes and bet.

Sundbyholm is not only a mecca for trotting fans - it is also a paradise for nature lovers. Within walking distance you'll find Sundbyholm's guest harbour, castle, swimming area and scenic hiking trails. There is also a promenade, barbecue areas and boat docks that make it easy to enjoy the beauty of Lake Mälaren.
For those who want a wider choice, Eskilstuna city centre is just 12 km away with restaurants, shops, bars and cultural attractions such as Parken Zoo, Rademachersmedjorna and Eskilstuna Art Museum. There are also several golf courses and nature reserves nearby for those seeking further activities.
Sundbyholm is also perfect as a base for further excursions in Mälardalen and Södermanland, with a short distance to both Strängnäs, Västerås and Stockholm.
Sundbyholmstravet is open to visitors all year round, but certain dates - especially race days such as the V75 and Breeders' Crown finals - are particularly popular, so pre-book your place well in advance. You are allowed to bring a bag on some days, but on selected major races there is a total bag ban - always check the website for up-to-date information before visiting.
Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a lead throughout the area. The arena is otherwise smoke-free, except for specially marked smoking areas. For those with cars, there is free parking at the main entrance, as well as the possibility of drive-in parking where you can follow the races directly from the car.
Staying here is not just a different and exciting camping option - it's a chance to combine relaxation, sport, nature and events in one place.
Welcome to Sundbyholms Travbana - a place for both horsepower and quality of life!
