Welcome to Undredal Camping – a small fjord gem nestled between steep mountains, the river, and the spectacular Aurlandsfjord. Here you will find a truly unique combination of tranquillity, nature, and genuine Western Norway idyll.

Undredal Camping is a small, charming campsite located in the very heart of the village of Undredal. The campsite is situated just a few metres from the fjord, with a panoramic view that changes from calm morning light to golden sunsets over the mountains. Here you can wake up to the sound of the river, breathe in the fjord air, and unwind in one of Norway’s most charming rural communities. The 27 camping pitches fill up quickly in the high season.

We offer pitches for tents, motorhomes, and caravans, with a short distance to all facilities: showers, toilets, a simple kitchen, washing machine, and electricity. Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Undredal is renowned for its world-famous goat’s cheese, small-scale local food and vibrant fjord culture. From the campsite you have walking distance to the pier, café, goat’s cheese outlet and the historic stave church from 1147.

Whether you wish to explore mountain trails, paddle on the fjord, taste local food, or simply enjoy the tranquillity, Undredal Camping is a perfect base. From Undredal as a starting point you can go on hikes to the summer mountain pasture Hovdungo at 996 metres above sea level. The place offers a beautiful view that is certainly worth the effort! From here a path continues up to the lean-to shelter “Ørnereiret” (the Eagle’s Nest), which is located at about 1,000 metres above sea level and can be rented at inatur.no.

If you prefer a somewhat less demanding hike, we recommend the walk along the fjord out to Stokko. Length 5.7 km. Stokko is a traditional haymaking and grazing area along the fjord. The place represents an important cultural landscape and hiking destination in Undredal. Bring swimwear. A beautiful place for bathing, if the weather is warm enough.

From here it is also a short drive by car to popular attractions such as Flåm, Gudvangen, Aurland, the Nærøyfjord and the Stegastein viewpoint.

Undredal Camping is a small, cosy campsite located in the middle of the village of Undredal. The 27 camping pitches fill up quickly in the high season. Here in Undredal you will find a small, welcoming grocery store – which stocks most necessities. The restaurant on the quay is a popular place for a light meal or a drink while enjoying the tranquillity and the view.

• Check‑in/check‑out: Check‑out is at 12:00 noon.
• Parking: If you rent a tent pitch, camping pitch or apartment, your car must be parked outside the campsite. There is free parking at Pottefot at the entrance to Undredal; otherwise, there is paid parking in the village centre using the Easypark parking app.
• Quiet hours: Quiet hours on the site are from 23:00 to 07:00.
• Showers: The shower facilities require a Norwegian 10‑kroner coin. NOK 10 for 4 minutes. Coins can be purchased from the staff.
• Cleaning: Please tidy up after yourself and use the waste container on the site.
• Facilities: The service building has showers, toilets, a simple kitchen, washing machine and fire pits.
• Proximity to the centre: Undredal Camping is located “in the middle” of the village centre. It is a short walking distance to the quay, café, goat cheese outlet and the stave church.
• Nature and weather: Undredal is located close to both fjord and mountains – please bring clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
