Utladalen is known as the "valley of waterfalls" and has four impressive waterfalls: Hjellefossen , Avdalsfossen , Hyljefossen and the famous Vettisfossen - Norway's highest unregulated waterfall and voted Norway's most beautiful waterfall. These can be reached via well-marked hiking trails directly from the campsite.

For those looking for a bigger challenge, the Hurrungane mountain area in Jotunheimen is easily accessible. Here you can try your hand at demanding summit hikes or enjoy quieter hikes with panoramic views of mountains and fjords.

The Sognefjord , the world's longest fjord, is also nearby and offers opportunities for boat trips, kayaking and fishing. In Øvre Årdal, just a short drive away, you will find restaurants, shops and cultural attractions.
