Vesterålen Rorbuer

There are also guided mountain hikes – both short and longer – including to the local lighthouse or up spectacular peaks such as Vikantinden and Nattmålstinden.

Just a stone's throw away you will find Damperiet Bryggecafé, where you can enjoy fresh seafood in maritime surroundings. A grocery store and gas station are just one kilometer away - convenient for both campervan tourists and families who want a relaxing holiday with everything within reach.

The popular Dronningruta – the coastal path that was also walked by Queen Sonja – starts right outside the door and takes you along old farms, white beaches and dramatic rock formations.

Just a 70-minute drive away is Øksnes, one of Norway’s best places for whale watching all year round. Local beaches such as Åsand and Søberg are a short distance away, perfect for a quiet day in the sun. If you’re a birdwatcher, you can often see white-tailed eagles right outside your window – there are two active eagle nests in the vicinity.

In nearby Bø you can rent a fishing boat, join a traditional fishing trip or have your catch served at one of the local restaurants. In short: there is something for everyone – from adrenaline and nature discoveries to relaxation and coziness.
