Villa Björkhagen

Villa Björkhagen is located in Jönköping in a nature reserve with unbeatable views of Lake Vättern. The campsite is located on the famous sankbanks. We have been operating here since 1958 and have continually improved our operations with renovations and upgrades. We live for camping and it shows when you visit us! Come and experience for yourself.

The unique location of the campsite overlooking Lake Vättern gives us a unique identity and feeling. Here you can really enjoy and relax for a while.

On the campsite we have a restaurant/bar which of course has full rights. The view over the lake can be enjoyed with a drink in your hand.

The service building is equipped with, among other things:

• Kitchen
• WC & shower
• Dining area

For those who have their swimming pants ready, we have Rosenlundsbadet 1.1 km from the campsite. There you will find a water park, wave pool, outdoor pools and other fun! We sell family tickets at a discounted price at the reception. A 10-minute walk from the campsite we have Jönköping's own "playa in city location" which is one of southern Vättern's most beautiful sandy beaches. This must not be missed! 2 km away we also have Rocksjöbadet with sandy beach, piers and jumping tower. Rocksjön is a smaller lake that offers slightly warmer water than the larger Lake Vättern.

If you want to try your luck at fishing, it is hard to imagine better fishing waters than Lake Vättern. The lake offers Sweden's largest stock of southern Swedish char. Even the Swedish record for pike was fished up from Lake Vättern. The lake also offers fishing for zander, grayling, burbot, salmon, trout, and whitefish. In other words, Vättern is a fisherman's paradise!

From the campsite it is close and easy to experience everything dear Jönköping and its surrounding area has to offer you visitors.

Here we can mention the match museum, which is one of the few in the world. Here you meet both people and machines that built up the match industry and developed it into a global company. There are also thousands of different matchboxes in different sizes and motifs. We promise that a visit to this museum is surprisingly interesting.

The Husqvarna Museum is a visit back in time where you can see many of the products made by one of the world's oldest and most versatile industrial companies. A visit here is a guaranteed nostalgia trip for those of us who remember Husqvarna products from the past.

Another must-see is a visit to the Tabergsgruvan mine, which during the summer offers a mine tour and mining theater. Adjacent to the mine is also the world's only bat museum. How exciting does this sound?

The city park offers outstanding views of Jönköping and there is also a playground for children, a dance floor, historical monuments and several animals that you can visit. If you have children with you on a camping vacation, it is definitely worth a visit to this beautiful park.

There are several golf courses nearby that welcome both experienced and novice golfers. The golf clubs have a genuine love for the sport and perhaps it will be your next passion in life?
