Wild Cabins

Havreselandsveien 95, 4525 Konsmo

Description

Tretophytta is located at Fiddan in Konsmo in Lyngdal municipality, about an hour from Kristiansand. The cabin is idyllically located on a small island in the forest in the middle of Agder.

If you want a unique glamping experience in Southern Norway, this is the place for you.
In the living room there is a table, bench, chairs and a corner sofa that can be converted into a double bed. The kitchen has a 90 cm gas hob with 5 gas burners, a fridge powered by solar power, some light and WIFI.
The veranda outside Øy Hytta is a favorite place to stay with a great view of Bervannet and the surrounding forests. If you sit still, you may be lucky enough to observe some of the rich wildlife. A beaver family lives in Bervannet and it also happens that moose, deer and roe deer appear. Cranes have been observed on several occasions. Ducks, geese and swans are a common sight. On the veranda we feed small birds all year round, and especially in winter there is a bustling life on the bird tray. Øy-Hytta has installed some electricity with lights in the outhouse, wood shed, laundry room and kitchen. The flames from the wood-burning stove also provide a cozy flickering light when you crawl into bed, because here you have to burn wood to keep warm in the cold season.

Accommodations

Nearby

Down on the hill on the "land side" there is a bonfire area with tables and benches, ideal for bonfires and barbecues. There is also a hot tub and a sauna that can be rented for an additional fee.

If you are interested in fishing, you are allowed to try the kilo of trout found in Bervannet.
Outside Treetop Island there is a wilderness sauna. There is little light pollution so that there are perfect conditions for taking good pictures of, among other things, the Milky Way.

At the very bottom of the water's edge, you will find the Kjærlighets benken, a stone bench that nature itself has made. History says that if you sit with your loved one on the Love Bench with your legs in the water at sunset, yes, you will both be married and have children within a year.
