🏕️ Wilderness Camping in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve

Wilderness Camping Sweden is a lakeside wilderness campsite by Lake Söndagssjön in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve. The campsite is located 2 km north of the small village of Nyfors and 12 km north of Kloten. Here, you stay close to nature with a swimming area, jetty, and sandy beach, in a peaceful setting suitable for both relaxation and active days in the wilderness. You can book a pitch per night, per week, or for the season.

🚰 Facilities

The campsite has dry toilets, dishwashing water, and several fireplaces, but no electricity. The campsite is operated by Nordic Discovery’s Adventure Center in the village of Kloten, 12 km south of the campsite. There you will find drinking water, souvenirs, postcards, ice cream, soft drinks, and candy, as well as the option to rent kayaks, rowboats, bicycles, mountain bikes, and detailed maps. Nordic Discovery also offers moose safaris, beaver safaris, and guided canoe and kayak tours.

🛶 Outdoor life and activities

Wilderness Camping is a perfect base for those who want to canoe, fish, hike, or simply experience nature at a slower pace. Canoes are available for rent at the campsite for those who want to explore the area from the water and get close to nature. The stream that flows into Lake Söndagssjön, just a stone’s throw from the campsite, offers excellent opportunities for fly fishing in beautiful natural surroundings.

Camping with caravans and motorhomes is prohibited at all locations in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve, except at organized campsites. Wilderness Camping is one such organized campsite.
