Zum Blitzer

Welcome to the motorhome site “Zum Blitzer” – a small, cosy pitch located on the grounds of the rest area of the same name, right in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on the Mecklenburg Lake District and on the edge of Müritz National Park. Perfectly situated for campers who are just passing through or who wish to spend a few relaxing days in a natural setting. The site is located close to the federal road B192 and therefore offers an ideal position for spontaneous stopovers, planned breaks or longer stays.

The 4 pitches for motorhomes and caravans are generously sized, partly shaded, and offer a relaxed atmosphere. Power hook-ups are available (can be booked optionally), as well as fresh water and a disposal facility for grey water. Toilets and showers are available on site and are cleaned regularly.

Thanks to its open, welcoming layout, the site is particularly popular with travellers in transit, weekend holidaymakers and nature lovers – a genuine insider tip for all those seeking an inexpensive, straightforward, safe and comfortable overnight stay in green surroundings.

In the adjoining rest area you can enjoy freshly prepared dishes for both substantial and smaller appetites. Ideal for anyone wishing to recharge after a long drive. Highly recommended are the various schnitzel dishes, as well as our delicious soft ice cream and home-baked waffles. There is something for everyone here.

And under the motto “score points with us instead of in Flensburg”, you can collect and save points both when dining and when camping.

From June to October we also offer a bread roll service from 9:00 a.m.; please place your order by 6:00 p.m. on the previous day. And of course you can also have breakfast directly in the rest area.

The region surrounding the Blitzer service area has far more to offer than one might suspect at first glance. Just a few kilometres away you will find beautiful bathing lakes which invite you to swim and relax in summer. The Mecklenburg Lake District with the Müritz National Park is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers and in particular cyclists. The cycle path passes directly by our site at the Blitzer.

If you are interested in culture, you should not miss a visit to the Müritz Saga (only in the summer season), the Monkey Forest with summer toboggan run, the Müritz Bear Forest or the AGRONEUM in Alt Schwerin – all of which can be easily reached by car.

The nearest town is Waren (Müritz), located approximately 7 km away. The harbour and the historic old town are the most popular places to visit; here you can take boat trips, go hiking, stroll around, or stop off at one of the various gastronomic establishments.

There is something to suit every taste – whether nature, culture or culinary delights.

There are also various shopping facilities here for your daily needs.

The rest area has disabled access leading to the terrace, the dining area, and our takeaway counter at the window.

A playground unit/climbing frame offers a relaxing opportunity for a break, especially for families with children.
