Båtsfjord Camping

Båtsfjord Camping is located in the heart of the fishing capital of Finnmark and offers a convenient, safe and comfortable stopover for travelers with a motorhome, caravan or roof tent . With up to 16 pitches and no limit on the number of nights , you can stay as long as you want and truly explore the area at your leisure.

The campsite has a solid surface and good lighting , and is suitable for motorhomes up to 8 meters in length . All pitches have access to electricity (3A) and water. You have access to showers, toilets and an emptying station for chemical toilets and grey water . There are rubbish bins and the area is wheelchair friendly .

A washing machine is available for a small charge, and there is also a shop or kiosk nearby for necessary groceries.

Dogs are welcome on site, as long as they are kept under control – and everyone gets to experience a campsite that combines the Arctic with modern convenience.

Båtsfjord is a fantastic starting point for fishing, hiking and cycling . Here, nature is right outside your door – with fjords, mountains, and vast expanses that invite both tranquility and adventure. The nearby marina makes it easy to get close to the sea and coastal culture.

You will find a grocery store, restaurant and the city center just a short walk away. For nature lovers, winter is the highlight, as Båtsfjord is one of the best places in Europe to see eider ducks and Steller's eiders - bird enthusiasts from all over the world come here for this!

In the summer you can enjoy the midnight sun , and autumn brings spectacular colors across the tundra. In the winter there are also good chances to experience the northern lights and arctic snowfall .

Båtsfjord Camping is located at Fomavegen 14 , within walking distance of the city center. We recommend booking in advance during high season, especially during bird season or the summer rush.

The area is safe and well-maintained – perfect for both short stops and longer stays. Electricity, water, shower and toilet are included in the price , and you can enjoy the freedom of the open Arctic landscape without having to sacrifice comfort.

Dogs are allowed , and we remind you that both the camping area and the surrounding nature require that you be considerate – of animals, people and the environment. Feel free to pack binoculars, a camera and warm clothes – because here you can experience reindeer, seabirds, whales and the northern lights all in one trip.
