The campsite is small-scale and family-friendly, perfect for those seeking a personal and harmonious camping experience. With nature right on your doorstep, there are ample opportunities for both rest and activity.

For active guests, Braås Activity Park with its bike park is located nearby, and you also have easy access to the scenic areas Braås park and Sjösås äng – perfect for walks, excursions and nature experiences.

Around Braås Camping, a varied, close-to-nature experience awaits – perfect for both relaxation and adventure. The campsite offers large open areas where both children and adults can move about freely, play kubb, or enjoy simple activities together in a safe and relaxed environment.

Swimming and lakeside life

Just 60 metres from the campsite is Braås bathing area – a popular swimming spot with a fine sandy beach and jetty. Visitors and locals alike gather here on warm summer days. In the surrounding area there are also several smaller lakes, such as Madkroken, Drättingesjön and Dällingen – ideal for peaceful outings, fishing, or a quiet moment in nature.

First-class fishing

Lake Örken is a popular fishing lake with great variety. Here you can catch perch, pike and trout, and in some parts also species such as roach, bream, tench, whitefish and vendace – and the lucky angler may even have a chance of carp.

Fishing permits can be purchased at Bolist or Ica Nära in Braås.

Nature and outdoor activities

For those who wish to be active, wonderful nature experiences are just around the corner. Sjösås äng offers beautiful walking paths through open countryside with old fields and stone clearance cairns. In Braås Park you will find a historical trail that follows Lake Örken.

If you prefer cycling, there are several routes that take you through the Småland landscape.

For those who wish to combine the tranquillity of the lakeside with opportunities for activity, Braås Activity Park is conveniently located within easy reach of the campsite. Here both children and adults can be active at their own pace and choose from a range of activities.

The campsite is located directly adjacent to Braås, which means you are within walking distance of grocery stores, services, and the charm of a small community.

A popular destination is Braås Local Heritage Park – a historical setting with buildings from the 17th–19th centuries, beautifully situated next to the old Sjösås Church dating from the 15th century. Summer exhibitions and Christmas markets are held here, and in the heritage café you can enjoy refreshments in an authentic setting. Many compare the place to a smaller version of Skansen.

High-altitude adventure

For an unforgettable day trip, we recommend Sweden Zipline – one of Europe’s longest zipline facilities. Here you will whiz high above the forests and lakes of Småland on an exciting and nature-oriented experience suitable for both families and adventure seekers.

At Braås Camping we wish to offer a simple, nature-oriented and relaxing experience. Here are some things that may be useful to know before your stay:

Peaceful and pleasant environment The campsite is small-scale and characterised by tranquillity and consideration. Here you stay close to nature, and we appreciate if all guests contribute to the relaxed atmosphere.

Check-in and check-out Check-in from 14:00–22:00 and check-out no later than 11:00.

Barbecuing and food Barbecuing is permitted in designated areas. Please always exercise caution and comply with any fire bans.

Quiet and consideration To ensure that everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet, a calmer pace applies during the evening and night. Please show consideration for your neighbours, especially after 22:00.

Parking Parking is available adjacent to your pitch or in designated areas.

Pets Pets are welcome, but must be kept under supervision and consideration must be shown to other guests.
