Bureå Camping

Welcome to Bureå Camping! A family campsite beautifully situated right next to Kvarnforsen, approximately 18 km south of Skellefteå alongside the E4. Bureå Camping has been awarded 3 stars and is located in the heart of nature by the Bure River. Here you are offered accommodation in camping cabins, pitches with electricity for caravans/motorhomes as well as excellent tent pitches. If that were not enough, Bureå Camping also offers special accommodation on a raft by the sea and the lovely island of Björkön, as well as overnight stays in an igloo.

For the past few years, Bureå Camping has been run by none other than Hans Brettschneider, who can also call himself the winner of Robinson 2010. Hans has also participated in TV programmes such as Genikampen and LEGO Masters.

At Bureå Camping you will find all the facilities required for a pleasant stay with both friends and family. Common room with kitchen, laundry room, tourist information, a well-known LEGO museum where you may build as much LEGO as you wish, bicycle rental, kayak rental, stand-up paddling, fishing and much more.

As mentioned, Bureå Camping is not only a campsite but also hosts Sweden’s largest LEGO exhibition. Here you will find both the most classic LEGO constructions and completely custom-built models (MOC) created by some of Sweden’s very best LEGO builders. In this LEGO workshop there are every opportunity for LEGO building, where you can either build entirely freely or follow instructions. You will also find a well-stocked LEGO shop offering a wide range of LEGO at affordable prices. As an overnight guest at Bureå Camping, you always have free admission to the LEGO museum.

High season = full service Low season = Limited service = We run the campsite more as a motorhome stopover area + you have access to toilets, showers, etc., but nothing else is open. Important to know before you arrive :)

Bureå campsite is located right next to the banks of the Bure River. This so-called forest river has its headwaters at Bastyträsk and then its outlet into the sea near Bureå.

Over a stretch of 8 kilometres, the Burälven's lovely streams and lakes offer plenty of fishing opportunities to satisfy even the most discerning fisherman. The river flows through a whole host of fine lakes such as Hjoggböleträsk, Mjövattsträsket, Fallmarksträsket, Boda träsket and finally Bursjön.

It is important to know that a valid fishing licence is required to gain access to fishing, which includes all waters around Bureå camping and the boundaries of the fisheries management area. However, if you are under 15 years of age, the fishing licence can be purchased at no extra cost. The most common fish found in these waters near Bureå campsite are perch, roach, zander, trout, burbot, grayling, bream and of course pike.

A little curiosity is that the Bureälven water system is actually one of very few waters in Norrland where the fish species zander occurs. This even in an abundant amount where catches measured over 6 kg in the local registers.

Bureå camping is located about 20 km south of Skellefteå just off the E4 motorway. After crossing the bridge over the Bureälven river, take the first exit available on the left, then you will see the campsite in front of you.

Getting to Bureå camping by public transport is easy. If you are at Bureå central station, it is only 600 metres to the campsite itself. You then follow Jägarvägen which goes via a Cirkle K and after 600 metres you will find Bureå camping on the right.
