Camping de Veenborg

Welcome to Camping de Veenborg, a beautiful green oasis in Kolham, just outside the bustling city of Groningen. Our campsite offers the perfect mix of peace and adventure, ideally located between Groningen and Hoogezand. With extensive cycling and hiking trails, this is the perfect place for nature lovers and adventurers.

The campsite has spacious camping pitches, motorhome sites and also rents out chalets. Our pitches are equipped with all necessary facilities, such as electricity, clean water and modern sanitary facilities. For campers, we have special pitches with easy access and all necessary connections.

For children there are go-karts, a trampoline, swings and a playhouse. And when the weather is warm, you can set up a small pool for them to play in.

Dogs can run free around the campsite, but must be kept on a leash.

At reception, you can rent bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings. For a relaxing day at the campsite, you can use our barbecue areas and picnic tables, perfect for an outdoor meal. In addition, we have a small kiosk , where coffee, tea, soft drinks and ice cream are for sale and various leaflets are available for fun outings

Our location is unique due to its proximity to the Roegwold nature reserve, the Zuidlaardermeer area and Westerbroek nature reserve. These areas offer countless opportunities for walking and cycling trips. In addition, the city of Groningen, with all its cultural attractions, is just a short bus ride away. The bus stop is right in front of the campsite, making it easy to explore the city without having to use the car.

The surroundings of Camping de Veenborg have much to offer for both nature lovers and urban explorers. The Roegwold nature reserve is ideal for long walks and cycling trips, where you can enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. The Zuidlaardermeer area offers excellent opportunities for water sports such as sailing, canoeing and fishing.

For cultural trips, the city of Groningen is a must. Visit the Grote Markt, the Groninger Museum and climb the Martini Tower for stunning views over the city. Groningen is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, with numerous theatres, galleries and music venues. The city also offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops, perfect for a day out.

Just a few minutes' drive away, you will also find the village of Hoogezand, where you can find several supermarkets, shops and eateries. For a relaxing day by the water, visit the Zuidlaardermeer lake, where beautiful beaches and swimming opportunities await you.

At Camping de Veenborg, we do all we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The reception is open daily for all your questions and also offers information on the area and activities. We recommend booking in advance, especially in high season, to avoid disappointment.

Dogs are welcome on the campsite, but must be kept on a lead at all times. We kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests and respect the peace and nature.

On our campsite, you can use WiFi for free, so you always stay connected. Don't forget to bring your bikes or rent them from us so you can discover the beautiful cycling and walking routes in the area.
