Frænabu Camping

Frænabu Camping is idyllically located by Hostadvatnet in Hustadvika municipality, just a 15-minute drive from the spectacular Atlantic Road. Here you will find approximately 25 campsites with electricity for campers and caravans, as well as several tent sites. The area is quiet, close to nature and very family-friendly - a perfect choice for those who want a quiet and safe camping holiday.

The campsite has newly renovated sanitary facilities and a modern guest kitchen, both built in 2023/24. Here you will find showers, toilets and options for simple cooking. There is access to fresh water, electricity and garbage disposal, but grey and black water must be emptied at designated stations in nearby areas.

Frænabu is also a course and mission center and has facilities that can be used for groups, meetings or church weekends. Guests are welcomed to a drug-free and inclusive atmosphere, where the motto "good experiences - good memories" truly comes true.

The area around Frænabu offers spectacular nature and a variety of attractions for both young and old. The world-famous Atlantic Road is just a short drive away and offers fantastic nature experiences whatever the weather – from calm summer days to dramatic storms. You can also visit Trollkirka , a network of underground limestone caves, which can be reached after a short drive and hike.

For the adventurous, Strømsholmen Sjøsportsenter is nearby, with activities such as diving and deep-sea fishing. You can also take boat trips to the charming fishing village of Bjørnsund or the island of Ona , known for its lighthouse, pottery workshops and authentic coastal environment.

Frænabu Camping is open from approximately 1 May to 31 October, and it is recommended to book a place in advance, especially in high season. All places have electricity connections, and vehicles with a maximum weight of up to 7.5 tons are allowed.

The campsite is an ideal starting point for cycling, hiking and sea activities. The distance to Molde is approx. 30 minutes, and to Kristiansund about one hour. Shops, restaurants and services can be found in nearby towns such as Elnesvågen and Bud.
