Mellanfjärdens Camping

Welcome to Mellanfjärdens Camping, located in an old fishing village on the beautiful Hälsingland coast in Jättendal. Overlooking the sea horizon, our campsite offers a peaceful retreat for relaxation and adventure. Our generously sized campsites, totalling around 70 - more than half of which are equipped with electricity, provide you with a comfortable and natural accommodation option.

The campsite is open from 30 April to 30 September, but only manned between 26 May and 7 September...

Opening hours are 08:00 - 17:00.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, there is a large and well-equipped kitchen in the service centre, as well as toilets, showers and a laundry room. The service centre is also accessible. The laundry and shower facilities are closed before 26 May and after 7 September, when the campsite is not staffed. Showers are then only available in the disabled toilet in the kitchen.

Everyone in the neighbourhood appreciates that you pick up after your dogs that need to be kept on a leash and that you recycle your garbage. There is signage at the back of the service centre to make it easier.

Mellanfjärden is more than just a campsite. There are opportunities for hiking or walking (a map is available on the large information board) and fishing waters are within easy reach.

The house behind the service building, Nordanstigs Kustmuseum, offers information in audio text and pictures about the fauna and flora of the Nordastig coast and about seal fishing/hunting and herring fishing... Examples of crafts such as boat building, rope making, barrel making and engine manufacturing are shown separately. During the summer the museum is open daily.

In the heart of the village, during the high season, there is a small grocery store with a café and two restaurants with sea views. The Hamnlyckan café by the river is open during certain periods. Hamnmagasinet offers a wide range of arts and crafts, and upstairs various artists display their work.

A stone's throw away is Trolska Skogen, where you can go on a theatre adventure and meet all the creatures of the forest. The great dragon Drakso is still fast asleep, but may wake up at any time. There is also a café and restaurant. Use the link to find out more https://www.trolskaskogen.se/
