Rödlix Vandrarhem & Camping

A warm welcome to Rödlix Hostel & Camping. Rödlix Hostel & Camping is located approximately 9 km south of the beautiful town of Varberg in delightful Halland. The site is situated close to the sea and right next to the old E6 road (on the coastal side).

Rödlix Hostel & Camping is a modern campsite established on a converted farm. Here, the rural character has been preserved in order to create a harmonious and relaxing environment.

If you are looking for a campsite with a tranquil rural atmosphere, with easy access to several bathing spots, golf, birdwatching and shopping, then Rödlix Hostel & Camping is the perfect campsite for you. The campsite is both family- and pet-friendly, so bring your four-legged friends and enjoy your stay together.

Rödlix Hostel & Camping is a somewhat smaller family campsite. There are about 50 pitches with electricity, as well as ample options for those who prefer to stay in a tent.

Of course, the campsite offers a service building that includes everything you may need for a comfortable stay. The campsite has equipped the service building with facilities such as individual showers, individual toilets and a reasonably sized kitchen. Laundry and drying facilities are also available, as well as, naturally, a chemical toilet disposal point.

In addition to this, they have established a 150 sqm indoor hall where you can enjoy a range of activities such as boules, darts and more.

If you bring your dog, there are several pleasant walking paths around the entire Rödlix Hostel & Camping.

The campsite is run with an environmentally friendly approach. The hot water you shower with is produced in the most environmentally friendly way possible, using both heat pumps and solar panels.

In the Rödlix Hostel & Camping neighbourhood you will find several excursion destinations for both young and old. Examples of this are Öströö sheep farm where you can enjoy farm shops and café with an ecological focus located by a beautiful beech forest and of course all the pastures for the sheep. If you prefer shopping, the well-known Ullared Ge-kås department store is also not far away.

In the vicinity of Rödlix hostel & camping there are several swimming areas. Björkäng is located about 3 km south where you will find a large and lovely sandy beach with shops, restaurant, mini golf course, playground and several evening activities are offered.

We also have Galtabäck harbour which is about 1 km away. Here you will find a cosy little sandy beach, a marina and a boat museum. If you want to watch birds, they have a tower set up for the bird-watching individual. Don't miss Träslövsläge, which is about 3 km from the campsite. Here you will find Halland's largest fishing harbour and sandy beach, restaurants, shops and the well-known ice cream café "Tre Toppar".

If you like windsurfing, we recommend Apelviken, which is about 5 km from the campsite. In addition to this being a great location for windsurfing, there is also a large sandy beach and restaurants available. Of course, you must not miss Varberg, which is 9 km from Rödlix hostel & camping. There you can visit cold baths, spa hotels, the seafront or why not take a nude bath?

For the golf-playing guest, you will find several golf courses adjacent to the camping area. For example, Varbergs GK, Klosterfjordens GK, Hofgårds golf course and last but not least Kärradals golf (pay and play system).

The hostel is open all year round. The campsite is open from 1 April to mid-October.
