Vennesund Camping is open all year round!

Our pitches for motorhomes and caravans are available throughout the year and can be booked as usual via Campcation.

We also offer accommodation in winter-insulated cabins. During the period October–March, cabin rentals are by prior arrangement, as both weather conditions and capacity may affect availability.

Vennesund Camping is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. We have guests from both Norway and abroad who return year after year to fish. Here you can catch, among other species, cod, saithe, mackerel, wolffish and halibut. We have 14 boats for hire, ranging from 16–20 feet, with outboard motors varying between 25–60 HP. All boats are equipped with echo sounder and chartplotter.

If you have caught fish and wish to prepare dinner or take your catch home, we provide a filleting house at your disposal. Here you also have the option to freeze the fish before travelling home.

Vennesund Camping is a year-round campsite with a number of well-insulated cabins. For those who wish to experience the magical winter light in the north, this is a perfect place. There is an abundance of photo opportunities for photography enthusiasts, and the Northern Lights frequently appear. If you are interested in birdwatching or bird photography, you have come to the right place – the area is an Eldorado of different bird species, both summer and winter.

We offer everything from spacious fishermen’s cabins and high-standard cabins to a simple small cabin without private shower and WC. We have also acquired seven basic “mini-cabins” in modular buildings. These are used when our other cabins are fully booked, or as an alternative for those who want more affordable accommodation. Here you will find everything you need – two comfortable beds, TV, table and chairs, shower and WC, as well as a simple yet well-equipped kitchenette with hotplate, microwave, electric kettle and coffee maker… If you travel alone, you pay only NOK 590, and NOK 850 for 2 persons.

In addition, we offer pitches for motorhomes and caravans, as well as ample space for tents.

In 2018 we built a new service building for our guests. Here you will find a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, washing machine and tumble dryer, showers, toilets and sauna.

The site has now been extended with several new hardstanding pitches on asphalt, and more pitches on grass. At the same time, some of the cabins have been renovated.

In autumn 2025 we started work on expanding the area by clearing trees. This will make the campsite more open and sunny. Our aim was to complete this work in April/May 2026. Unfortunately, there have been delays, but it will be completed as soon as possible.

In connection with the levelling of the area, there are also plans to build verandas on each “mini-cabin”.

In Sømna municipality, south of the beautiful Helgeland coast, experiences are endless – summer and winter. Here you can experience both the northern lights and the midnight sun, and everything from silent summer evenings to stormy winter nights.

You can rent a boat and go fishing, or take a leisurely stroll on the sea right outside the campsite. With no traffic jams, and with crystal clear, sparkling water, a stroll on the sea is an experience that brings peace to the soul.

The view from Vennesund camping will take your breath away. Here you have a panoramic view of Torghatten and Vega and The Seven Sisters.

Vennesund camping is an ideal starting point for activities and experiences – or for those who just want to relax. A short walk away is Norway's northernmost Olavskilde, which you can read more about here .

Just before Kvennvika you will find the starting point for Sømna's southernmost mountain hike – Sørfjellet. The hike from the parking lot to the top is approximately 1 km, and the peak is 217 meters above sea level. Here you can enjoy a fantastic view of Heilhornet, Leka and Vega, while looking straight down at Kvennvika beach.
